The Dell PERC H730P Mini Mono RAID Controller (Part Number 7H4CN / 07H4CN) is a high-performance internal hardware RAID controller designed for compatible Dell PowerEdge servers.

Powered by the LSI SAS3108 dual-core RAID-on-Chip processor, the H730P provides eight internal SAS/SATA channels with support for 12Gb/s SAS and 6Gb/s SATA hard drives and solid-state drives. Its dedicated 2GB DDR3 non-volatile cache helps improve storage performance while providing enterprise-class RAID functionality and data protection.

The controller supports a wide range of hardware RAID configurations, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60, making it suitable for applications ranging from high-performance SSD arrays to fault-tolerant enterprise storage. Important Compatibility Note

It is not the standard PCIe add-in-card version of the H730P.

For example, Dell specifically states that the 7H4CN H730P Mini Mono does not physically fit the Dell PowerEdge R720xd motherboard. Customers upgrading older 12th-generation systems such as the R720/R720xd should not assume compatibility based solely on the H730P model name.
